The big one, or my west coast adventures. Day 17

So now I have a few days off to explore LA. The first place everyone goes to is Hollywood, and I'm no exception. I'm giving the bike a few days rest. Plus a day pass on transit is $7. The metro station is a 5 min walk from the hotel.  Even better is that Hollywood Blvd is one stop away.

The LA police doing a escorted ride for kids, cool. My hotel in the background.

Nice subway station's,  clean and cheap. $1.75 for a single fare.

Easy and someone to help you. The card is tap and go.

A 5 minute wait.

One stop later and your right in the middle of it.

It is impressive,  but it does look bigger on TV.

Isn't this where U2 sung on top of?

 It's even more impressive inside.

Nice, but not $25 nice.

Rat pack time, I didn't find the rest of them.

 The "Penguin"

Never complain yo me about trains being 5 min apart during non rush hours. It's 12 mins in LA folks.

I finally get to see it.

 No idea who?
My favorite Peter Sellers, is his Italian thief in "After the Fox"

Darth,  I'd thought they'd be bigger.

 The God squad.

What can I say, but it's Steve McQueen.

Now onto the inside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

The 10 Commandments tablets are on display in the lobby. Though Mel Brooks,  dropping one comes to mind.

 A nice unexpected detail.

It's still a totally working movie theater,  playing "The Maze". I know I watched it. That way you get the tour for free. The theater is absolutely gorgeous.  Old school,  the washrooms are in the basement.  It really is a must go to if your in LA.

I had to go back to Grauman's Chinese Theatre, as I left a bag there this afternoon.
Kudos to Grauman's for having it.

The scientology stress test. I passed. But they are finding recruits.
The shuttle to my hotel shuttle.
Just like Arnold " I'll be back" tomorrow

No milage done on the bike today,  it's taking a break.
