Today's a day to hang in Reno, and see some of the sights. I had breakfast in the hotel "Mel's diner. It's bad when your breakfast costs more than the nightly buffet. O well. Off to the downtown Casinos.
I can't forget that sign.
The poor "Horseshoe". Closed down, but I like they've left the sign.
Rock climbing to the top of the hotel. There's a bell at the top to ring if you get there.
Street art.
My poor old hotel way up there. It was cheap and clean and that's I'll I want.
Circus circus is impressive. It hasn't changed all that much since it opened in the 60's or 80's. But the upkeep and updating is Amazing.
They were doing a strongman competition on the main drag, I give these guys credit. It's some heavy stuff there moving.
Things have changed here since the last time I was here. You can see it here in downtown Reno. Since casino's have opened up in California, it's hit Reno's downtown. A few of the casinos have closed and some of the business's. Sad, as this used to be a really fun place to be. Most of Reno's higher end Casino's are out by the interstate and airport.
Reno, NV is a place you can visit for a few days, but that's about it.
I'll leave you with this, I don't want to see this button lit up. First time I've see one though. Anyway this is a stop off for doing highway 395.
